Journalists were on Thursday barred from covering President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Stern-looking soldiers and policemen did not honour newsmen, who identified themselves with their official identification cards.
Jonathan and the Awujale had been in a meeting behind closed doors since he arrived Ijebu Ode at about 11.15am.

The President was accompanied by governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson went straight was ushered into one of the private rooms of the monarch and began the secret meeting.
NE reliably gathered that the private meeting of the President was aimed at seeking the blessings of the monarch for his re-election bid.

It would be recalled that the President was in Ile-Ife, Osun state to visit the Ooni of Ife, who alongside other monarchs in the state gave him their royal blessing and support.
As at the time of filing this report, the details of the meeting was sketchy.
