A mother of three daughters escaped death recently by the whiskers after being descended upon heavily by street urchins in her neighbourhood. Her offence: She was allegedly having séxual relations with her friend’s husband. Fortune until very recently lived with her three daughters in a room at Bolumole area of Ifo Local Government Council of Ogun State.
She is a divorcee and teaches at a private elementary school at Oju-Oore area of Sango Ota, in Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government Area of the state. Fortune was said to have lost her marriage in 2005 when she was caught having an affair with her husband’s colleague.
The situation made the husband to abscond. This later led to the death of the marriage as her husband relocated to the northern part of the country. Then, their abode was at Alapere area of Ketu, Lagos State. As a result of this she also relocated from Ketu to Ifo with her three daughters.
There she resettled and got her current work as a teacher. At her new place of abode, Fortune, an indigene of Ikom, Cross River State, soon became friends with Eki who is from the same town with her.
Eki, who has an eight-yearold son, lives with her banker husband in the town. Eki’s husband, Azu, is from Asaba in Delta State. Fortune, who lived in a room and parlour at Ifo, was two just blocks apart from Eki’s house. While Fortune wakes up quite early to go to work every day, her friend, Eki, is a full time house wife and she also looks after the family’s poultry in their own compound.
Since Azu works at a bank around Lagos Island, he used to leave home very early each day. But, sometime last year, Azu was transferred to the Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos State branch of his bank. As a result of this, Eki pleaded with him to help give her friend a ride to Sango while going to work every morning.
The man obliged and every morning that he while going to work, he would give Fortune a ride to Sango-Ota. In no time, something else happened. Azu and Fortune began an illicit relationship.
This had been on for almost a year now. But one Sunday afternoon in January this year, Fortune told Eki in company of her husband that she was relocating from Ifo. It was a shock to Eki. Fortune told the couple that she was leaving the area because she had been transferred from Ota to Iju area of Lagos State. Unknown to Eki, however, her husband had just secured a 2-bedrom apartment for her friend, Fortune, at Dalemo, in Sango-Ota.
The day Fortune was moving her property out of the house, Eki reportedly wept like a baby. Eki had prevailed on Fortune to give her, her new address but the latter kept on promising she would come and take Eki there. She never did. However, both women vowed to continue their friendship irrespective of the distance. Around the time Fortune moved out of Ifo, Azu also reportedly informed his wife that his schedule of work in the office had changed in such a way that he had to spend the weekend in the office. The wife took the news in good faith and all had been well since then.
But trouble started around late February, 2013, when another friend of Eki reportedly informed her that she saw her husband and a woman, hand in hand, shopping together on a Saturday at Shoprite, Alausa, Lagos.
A couple of weeks later, one of Eki’s in-laws also shocked the woman, but this time, he claimed he saw her husband with Fortune feeding each other at a drinking joint around Abule-Egba area of Lagos State on a Saturday night. Eki, apparently too afraid to confront her husband with the story, decided to trace his movements, hoping to get to the root of the matter.
On Saturday, April 19, 2013, Eki’s in-law, a petrol attendant around Abule-Egba-Fagba Road, again sighted Azu and Fortune at the same beer joint and hurriedly put a call to Eki. Within a short time, she reportedly arrived at the area, and saw her husband feeding Fortune with a glass of drink. Barely an hour after Eki arrived there; Azu and Fortune entered the car and drove off. Fortune’s new abode is reported to be a stone throw to the drinking joint.
As the two of them drove off, Eki and her in-law reported rushed on a motorcycle and traced them to the place. Within minutes, the door to Fortune’s flat was shut and the light went out. That was around 8:45pm.
Moments later, Eki and her petrol attendant in-law barged into the flat and knocked at the door. It was Azu who reportedly came to open the door. He was shocked to see his wife there. Eki reportedly brushed past her husband and made for Fortune, her friend. She was wrapped in a towel in the living room.
“Twice I was told of the relationship between Fortune and my husband but I never took it serious, until my sister-in-law’s brother, who works around there also told me about it.
“When he saw them again that Saturday, he called me and I took a motorcycle from Ifo down to Abule Egba that I could catch them there. They were still there when I arrived but I hid myself at the filling station where the boy works.
When my husband and Fortune drove off, we chartered another motorcycle to follow them and we eventually traced them to the house my husband rented for her and where both of them always spend the weekend,” Eki narrated. With the shout for help, neighbour reportedly pounced on Fortune and gave her the beating of her life. She was also reportedly strípped almost nakéd in the process.
Azu, on his part, hurriedly got dressed and drove out of the place, but not without pebbles hurled at his car’s windscreen. A shop owner in the area, Fidelis, told Saturday Mirror that but for the intervention of people, Fortune would have been lynched by the irate mob that gathered at the scene.
“I did not know why the woman’s (Fortune) neighbours treated her like that, but the wife of the man and the young man that came with her did stríp her almost nakéd and damaged most of the electrical appliances in the house. When the woman told the people what happened, some area boys in the area started beating Fortune and almost killed her,” Fidelis added.
Fortune reportedly left the house with the only kid living with her. She has not been seen since then. It was also gathered that Azu had travelled to his village while Eki had gone there to meet the family.

Actress Mercy Johnson who was reportedly in a showdown with her older colleague, Patience Ozokwor on location in Asaba few weeks back, has blamed her uncontrollable outburst on Ozokwor’s repeated utterances referring to her as an ‘ashawo’- a hoochie.
In a telephone interview, Mercy recounted her side of the story to NET. She noted that Patience Ozokwor was given a revealing clothe to wear on that location, apparently to depict a character in the movie that was in the making and Patience allegedly refused the outfit, stating that she is not Mercy Johnson, not an ‘ashawo’.
“I’m not a prostitute. I don’t like the name. I told her I didn’t like it”, Mercy told NET. According to her, the faceoff was escalated when Mama Gee refused to stop calling her by unpleasant name.
There were unconfirmed reports that the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) might take a disciplinary action against Mercy Johnson and Patience Ozokwor but when NET contacted the AGN president, Segun Arinze via SMS, he simply stated that the issue has been sorted out in-house.
The text message read “Hello sir, I just want to know if the AGN is taking any disciplinary action against Mercy Johnson and Patience Ozokwor”.
“No it’s sorted out. Thanks”, he replied. Arinze would not comment further.
Arinze, sources said, has instructed both parties not to make any further comments on the matter.

A randy husband Edwin (surname withheld) at the Junior Staff Quarters, Asaba, Delta State, has put his wife’s bosom in the family way three months after wedding.Reports said Edwin’s wife on Thursday last week moved out of her matrimonial home when it was confirmed by the husband’s personal doctor that her friend was pregnant for her husband.Edwin’s wife and her friend, LEADERSHIP learnt, were course mates at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ill- Efe, where Edwin, who was then doing his youth service in the area, met her.It was gathered that, Nneka, as she was identified, made herself useful to her newly married friend who had become pregnant, a situation she allegedly took advantage of by making herself useful in home chores and helping to prepare meals for the man, who is reportedly a senior banker in one of the new generation banks.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP, the victim, who did not want her name in print, said: “I never knew there was something fishy as I was not suspecting my best friend. But there was a day she told me she was going to check her parents in Ibadan. A day after she left, my husband told me he was billed for an official assignment in Lagos, and would not be back in four days time. My husband returned to Asaba about the same time Nneka came back from her Ibadan trip.“Two months later, a lady in our estate called me and asked if I observed that Nneka was pregnant. I called her one day to ask her.  She opened up, telling me she had actually wanted to tell me but do not know how to approach the matter.“It was then she opened up, telling that it was the time she traveled to Ibadan, my husband came to meet her and they both slept together for four days.”

Velazco Ibáñez was to commit suicide to rejoin her soul mate in the after world. Worried by her suicidal thoughts, the woman's family kept her locked up at home but it only worked for so long. After a few days, María got out and ran straight toward the nearby highway and threw herself in the way of the first larger vehicle.

Ironically, it happened to have been an ambulance. The event took place at the entrance of El Abra congregation on the busy Mexico-Laredo highway, on the section between Ciudad Mante and Antiguo Morelos in Tamaulipas.

The woman's husband was claimed by cancer. Her family said they would not seek prosecution of 28 year old Geovani Cruz Ledesma, driver of the ambulance belonging to the municipality of Antiguo Morelos llamado, because they had been aware of the woman's suicidal thoughts and realized there was little he could have done to avoid hitting her.

20-year-old man, Agu Nwanu, has confessed and told the story of how he delved into voodoo practices and money ritual in a bid to get rich by all means.

Nwanu told SunNews that at the peak of his foray into voodooism, he, alongside a traditional priest, slaughtered 11 young virgins for money rituals at a village in Ebonyi State.
According to him, right from his childhood, he had made up his mind to serve the devil in order to become rich.
And his reason for insisting on serving the devil was that his father, who served God all his life was also poor all his life.

Agu said:
"When I was growing up, I never wanted to be as poor as my father. I had wanted to become not just rich but very wealthy. I reasoned that I had to serve the devil in order to become very wealthy. I believed that my father was afflicted by abject poverty because he had faithfully served God. I had believed that by serving Satan, I would be very rich, build mansions and ride big cars, as I have learnt that many wealthy persons got their money by serving the devil. So, I was determined to do money rituals too so as to hit it big.

"At 15, I began to practise paganism, I would go into the bush in the village, clear a spot, gather some stones and put some leaves on them. I would then pour oil on the stones and then kneel down to worship the objects.

I also was desirous to know the devil. I was very curious about him. I was asking everyone around about powerful native men, who could link me to the devil. I wanted to meet with him, tell him that I wanted to be very rich at all cost."
Indeed, a few years later, Nwanu came by powerful native doctors, who introduced him into various ways of doing money rituals.
"I began to meet with different native doctors, who were asking for some items as requirements for money rituals.

The items included dogs, fowls, hairs and parts of human beings as well as some other things needed for the rituals. These items were mixed together and eventually, I started making money. That was how I was able to sponsor myself in secondary school as well as feed and clothe myself. In spite of all these, I wasn't yet satisfied, as I was still living with my uncle. "I was thirsty for good money.

I once got introduced to a powerful native doctor, who assured that he could help me to become very wealthy on certain conditions. He said I had to get married and begin to make babies, as my wife and children would be useful in sustaining the money rituals. The man also told me that I was also too young then because I was barely 20 years old.
He advised me to do the rituals when I turned 25. I didn't like the conditions he gave, so, I decided to seek for help elsewhere and I got it. "In January this year, I was introduced to another powerful native doctor in Ebonyi State. I had to travel all the way from Lagos to Ebonyi to meet with the man.

I disguised as a middle-aged man to forestall a possibility of the man, dismissing me as too young. The native doctor turned out to be a priest to a deity believed to be the god of money. "At the priest's place, I was asked to speak with an invisible deity, who spoke to me in a guttural voice. He demanded the heads of seven female virgins, babies preferably.

Though I was stunned at its demand, I was ready to do whatever needed to be done. I indicated my readiness but said I didn't have the means of getting the babies since I was not used to the place.

The priest offered to help and took me to some motherless babies' homes and hospitals in the state. "At first, the owners of the homes and hospitals asked for N400, 000 for each baby but we haggled and beat the price to N70, 000 for each.
We eventually got seven babies even though we didn't make all the payment. The priest made arrangement with the authorities of the motherless babies' home to secretly bring the babies to his shrine in order to prevent a possible encounter with the police.

''Once the priest got the items, he asked me to go into a room where he had lodged me. So, the next day, he invited me to his shrine and there I saw blood and human remains splattered all over the premises of his shrine and I concluded that he must have used those babies for the rituals. "The priest then handed some charms to me and instructed me to return to Lagos. He said I should observe a dry fast for seven days and nights.

He also instructed me strongly against having anything to do with women. He specifically said I should not allow a woman touch me or talk to me.
This, to him, would preserve the potency of the juju. "I was overwhelmed with great joy and made a strong decision to obey the priest's instruction to the letter. But before I boarded the bus en route to Lagos from the Ebonyi motor park, an unknown woman called out to me and followed me in spite of my blunt refusal to give her audience. The lady succeeded in touching me before I got rid of her.

"Instantly, the charm I was given got broken. I ran back to the priest and was dumfounded with what he said. He said the lady that accosted me had ruined the charm because she was in her menstrual period when she touched me.

I would have been punished severely for spoiling the charm but the deity had a soft spot for me and gave me a second and last chance. I was to do another charm with another seven virgins, four males and three females.

My failure to get the additional seven virgins in three days, he said, would result in my death. "By that time, I had spent almost all I had on me. I had only N43, 000 left. I had paid N400, 000 as part payment for the earlier ritual.
So, I pleaded with the priest to assist me and he contacted some kidnappers in the state. He invited them to have a chat with me and the kidnappers said I was fortunate to approach them at that time because they had four virgins whom they had fetched for a client that didn't need them any more, as another set of kidnappers he also contacted had gotten the virgins for him. So, the priest and I pleaded with the kidnappers to give me the four virgins on credit. I gave them N40,000. We promised to pay the outstanding money after the second ritual.

"Actually, the money was ready and stacked in many polythene bags and they were shown to me. But the deity had warned that I shouldn't touch the money since the charm was already spoilt. The other seven virgins were to be used to placate the spirit behind the money so that anyone, who touched it would not be severely punished.

"Considering my situation, the priest pleaded with the deity to accept the four virgins that we eventually got from the kidnappers and the ritual of appeasement was done. After that, I was asked to come back to Lagos and wait for seven months.
I was instructed to struggle to survive by doing odd jobs within those seven months so that I would have gathered enough experience that would enable me spend the money prudently. "As the ritual of appeasement on the money was done, a paper on which my name was written fell from the ceiling.

There was a message, congratulating and welcoming me to the club of billionaires. On that note, I returned to Lagos.

As the earlier instructions about abstaining from women were passed to me, I did my best to abstain from women for the seven days of the dry fasting. I ensured this by locking myself up in the house and coming out only in the midnight to get fresh air.

"But shortly after the fasting, I had an encounter with a member of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement.
The man preached to me and we became friends. I agreed to go to church with him one day and after the church service, the presiding pastor, Brother Anapeto Peter, ministered to me and prayed with me. It was there that I received Christ and renounced my evil ways.

"Since then, I've been having an inexplicable peace of mind. I have asked God to forgive me for my past atrocities. I will never go back for the money, as I have given up everything for God to rule my life. I have realised that I was just being deceived by the satanic priest and his deity."

This is what a guy saw in his fried rice while eating in an Eatery but he didn't give out the name of the restaurant.
Sometimes I think its just better to eat at home, because there is actually no difference between the fast food restaurants and the roadside "buka".

He found a Fried Baby Rat in his Fried Rice while Eating, He told the Eatery Management and they were Apologizing for the Sh*t.

Whats your Say on this? or If this Happened to you, What will you do?
