The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said that he is not desperate about becoming the governor of the state.
Omisore said this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Monday by the Director of Media and Strategy, Mr. Diran Odeyemi.
The governorship candidate of the PDP said that he would rather continue as a private citizen than allowing any person’s blood to be shed because of his ambition.
The statemenet, “ My governorship ambition does not worth the blood of any Osun citizen. My governorship ambition is about the people themselves and it is from them that I draw my inspiration and determination to serve them.
“The August 9 governorship election in Osun State would be a step forward from the overwhelming support that brought him in as the generally acceptable candidate of Osun PDP.
It is high time security operatives started questioning the APC whenever it raises false alarms of insecurity and bloodshed because they always accuse others of what they plan to do.
The APC should try and learn the attributes of democratic elements whenever it wishes to conduct its ward and state congresses.
“Although I doubt it if members of the APC have the political maturity and temperament to go through real congresses.”
