Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has reacted to the proposed plan by movie marketers to ban her for being too expensive; making it clear she would not back down on her figures.



Mercy reportedly charges between N1.8 to N2m for her movie roles.

NE had earlier reported of is underground plans by the movie marketers under the aegis of Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN, to blacklist Mercy Johnson Okojie,, in what they call, “ Withdrawing of service from her.” (See report HERE)



Nollywood stars, Omotola Jolade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Richard Mofe Damijo and Nkem Owoh in 2005 were the first Nollywood stars to reportedly come under the blacklist hammer of marketers after they allegedly began charging N1m for their roles.

The alleged blacklist ultimately gave other actresses like Ini Edo and Uche Jumbo the opportunity to rise to stardom.



Mercy has been warned she may suffer severe consequences if she refuses to back down.



Really, should she back down? and is N2m too much for her movie roles?
