Jay Z apparently joined Instagram on Saturday and posted a photo montage of himself with Michael Jackson, who would have been 57 years old.
The photos in a new account under the name HovSince96 showed the 45-year-old rap legend wearing a New York Knicks jersey standing next to the King Of Pop and also embracing him.
‘Happy Birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post,’ read the caption.
Jay Z, who was born Shawn Corey Carter, also was spotted on Saturday boarding a private jet bound for Los Angeleas ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
His wife Beyonce, 33, has been nominated for five awards, including Best Editing, Best Choreography, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Video Of The Year.
Beyonce is no stranger to Instagram and regularly posts snapshots for her 44.4 million followers.
The Crazy In Love singer a week ago posted photos of their family relaxing during a boat ride.
Beyonce recently was surpassed by reality star Kim Kardashian, 34, as the most followed person on the photo-sharing site.
Kim has racked up more than 44.5 million followers on Instagram.
