Alexis Sanchez was the difference and scored a brace as Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez starred throughout the 90 minutes and after watching his side toil in front of goal for much of the match, finally broke the deadlock on 70 minutes.
Calum Chambers settled nerves just two minutes later with his first for the club before Sanchez ensured the points with his second of the game, capping a virtuoso performance.
The home side were on the front foot for much of the contest, enjoying large spells of possession as Burnley relied on resolute defending and a few moments of magic from goalkeeper Tom Heaton to keep the scoreline level at the break.
Sean Dyche’s men, who went into the clash at the Emirates rooted to the bottom of the table, had notched just five goals in their first nine fixtures and looked toothless on the rare occasion they found themselves in the final third.
The win moves Arsenal into the top four – nine points behind leaders Chelsea – whilst Burnley continue the search for their first win of the season.
