Aggrieved youths under the aegis of Auchi Youths for Initiative, on Thursday, locked out the Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, Dr (Mrs.) Philipa Idogho, of her office, over alleged marginalisation in employment and admission opportunities.
The youths who were demanding 80 slots from 200 positions available under on-going employment process in the polytechnic, said 15 slots allegedly allocated to the community by the polytechnic management was not acceptable to them.
Spokesman and secretary of the group, Mathias Braimah, alleged that the Idogho-led administration had since inception, five years ago,
marginalised the host community since the commencement of her administration.
