December 2015

LAS VEGAS, NV - DECEMBER 20: Miss Colombia 2015, Ariadna Gutierrez, competes in the swimsuit competition during the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on December 20, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The swimsuit round is about as bare as it gets in the Miss Universe pageant, but the folks at Vivid Entertainment P0*n studio want to pay Miss Colombia to bare it all. The adult film and entertainment company offered the pageant’s first-runner up Adriadna Gutierrez a $1M dollar contract to star in a P0*n video in the aftermath of her widely publicized Miss Universe loss on Sunday night.  TMZ obtained the personal letter that Vivid’s CEO Steve Hirsch sent to Gutierrez propositioning the idea.

“You will pick your partners, the type of s*x you want to have and how many movies you ultimately appear in,” he wrote. The P0*n king also noted that “the only name people remember is Vanessa Williams” because of her unclad photo shoot in Penthouse magazine.  Vivid’s repertoire of stars who have appeared in their films include Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham, Pamela Anderson, and Kendra Wilkinson, according to Hollywood life.  Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was accidentally crowned the winner of the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday night after host Steve Harvey misread the results and announced her as the victor over Miss Philippines. He immediately retracted his statement and clarified that she was the first-runner up, in what was surely one of the most awkward TV moments of 2015.

Gutierrez hasn’t revealed how she responded to the offer, but she thanked her fans for their support and kindness throughout the post-pageant media frenzy.  “I want to thank each and everyone of you who have sent messages of support and strength,” she said in an Instagram post on Wednesday, “I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes… Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world.”

Dija, the pretty Mavin Records Singer has been in the news for the past 4 weeks.

Reason?

She reportedly got married in Kaduna secretly a few weeks back, even though her manager denied it in a chat with Kemi Filani Blog.

Citypeople claims ‘She didn’t make noise about it. She called a few of her friends and her mum invited her friends as well and traditional wedding took place in her compound in Kaduna.’

Well in this new interview, the Mavin star, Aphrodija talked about the first time she met Don Jazzy and more. Read the interesting excerpts from the interview below:

Meeting Don Jazzy, I felt like I was reborn. I met him through my manager. He told we were going to see a producer, I didn’t know where we were going so we ended up in Don Jazzy’s house. I didn’t even know where I was. I ended up meeting Baby Fresh, Altims and a few others. They started listening to songs that I had done before and I had this nervousness in me. Not long after, I saw a shadow behind me and when I turned around to see who it was at the door, it was Don Jazzy and I almost fainted, I just told myself to stay composed. It even got worse when Don Jazzy started listening to my songs, I just got so nervous. 1 thing I love about Don Jazzy is that he won’t promise you anything; rather he would tell you that he would do his best. He told us he would get back to us and the next day he pulled a call through and that was it. We started recording and we recorded quite a few tracks. At that time nobody was bothered about a contract or papers, we just wanted to work. From there I met Reekado and then Korede Bello. We didn’t even know there was a plan; we were just happy working and enjoying each others company. We recorded for about 8 to 9 months at that time before Don Jazzy even considered giving us a contract.

How did you choose your kind of music?
I didn’t, like I said I just became myself. I can write a song for 5 years. I still have songs that I haven’t finished writing since 2008. This is because there’s just this thing about been yourself. They won’t sound the same again. Some people kill themselves when they try to be like someone else. Some artistes go to a producer and say I love that Woju beat that Kiss Daniel sang on, I want something like that and then they don’t make a hit out of it like Kiss Daniel did. This is because you don’t know what mood Kiss Daniel was in when he was writing and recording Woju. So why not just be yourself and write your songs as they come from your heart. I like been crazy and I experiment my craziness while recording. Sometimes I would be like Altims or BabyFresh please commot that thing and they would be like they love it and I should do it again. Sometimes I would beg them to take it off and when Don Jazzy walks in I would be like a little disturbed and he would encourage me to be crazy, be free and be myself, he would say be stupid, it is actually trying to be stupid you find your smartest moment. Because it is during that moment of been stupid you would realize something that would pay off. I think Music comes with a form of madness. You just have to be free, crazy, stupid and yourself. Don’t try to please everyone, please yourself even if it takes you to be crazy.

How were you able to convince your parents on you doing music?
I never really did, I always got into trouble doing it and when I went to school in Canada, I was doing it because I was far and my brother would encourage me to keep doing it. One of my friends put me in a competition, it was the Beat Music Award and we were about 200 that put in for the award and that was my first time singing to a crowd judging me. I know that I sang my best but it wasn’t my best that came out. I think it was the passion and everything in me. I ended up winning the competition to my surprise. From then on, this was in 2008, I started letting my mom and dad know. At that point I started understanding my dream. When I met Don Jazzy, I was at a point where I almost felt like going back away from music. At that point, we didn’t have a house in Lagos so I was staying with my aunt. Imagine waking up and leaving the house at 4am in the morning and telling her that you are going to the studio? She’ll be like, who does gospel music in the studio at 4am? I explained to my aunt. At that time I had met my manager, he even interviewed me and I was like “which one be this again’. He really took his time and I’m grateful for that. If you are really doing something you love, it might take a long time. Some people think I just kind of popped out. My professional life started in 2008.

Islamic-Movement-in-Nigeria-Ibraheem-Zakzaky

Residents of Zaria town in Kaduna State have called on the Federal Government to, as a matter of national importance, ban the Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky-led Shi’ite Movement in their area, before things get out of hands.

According to the residents, the call became imperative as the town has become tired of the activities of the Shiite movement which they noted are running a parallel government in the country and had on different occasions, unleashed so much untold hardship on them for more than two decades now.

Idris Mohammed Baba, who spoke on behalf of the affected Zaria communities told journalists in Kaduna at the weekend, that members of the group had at different times in the past held people in Zaria and Sabon Gari local government areas of Kaduna State hostage. Specifically, the Shiites in May 2015 declared 24 youths in the area persona non grata for challenging their activities in Gyellesu community where El-Zakzaky resides, the residents added.

“My experience with Shiite followers is disastrous and terrible,” said Baba. “At a point, Shiite boys threaten to kill me. There is one notorious Shiite boy call Ali, he is the leader of El-Zakzaky’s notorious boys who accompany him anywhere he goes.

“We are happy over the military action against Shiite’s movement in Zaria because we have fresh air now blowing in our areas. Before now, we can’t grant interview to the world about Shiite’s activities, but now we are sleeping with our two eyes closed.

“As a community, we wrote letters to the governments about the ungodly activities of Shiites but no single action was taken. We no longer report Shiites to the Police because they will never honour Police or security invitation. These Shiites are authority unto themselves; they don’t respect authority, security and so on.

“We are Muslims but we discovered that, Shiites activities are contrary to Islam. They carried dangerous weapons and openly molesting innocent people in our areas. Human rights should also look into our pains by Shi’ite sect.”

Another resident who is also one of the Gyallesu’s elders, Alhaji Saidu Garba, said the once booming economic activities in the area have been crippled due to the activities of Shiite.

“After, El-Zakzaky was released from detention in 1999, he came and settled in Gyallesu and since then, there has been no peace in our area,” said Garba.

“We thank Allah for touching the heart of the government and the military for liberating us from Shiites’ untold hardship.

“Shiites killed many of our people who challenged their activities. We buried them, yet we cannot talk to the world because of their threat.

“We were living like slaves in our own land where Shiite leader, Sheikh El-Zakzaky came and met us. We residents of Gyallesu are calling on the Federal government to ban the Shiite movement in our community and Kaduna state as a whole. Government should put a stop to Shiite’s ungodly activities in our area,” he said.

The owner of Chinese gypsum mine that collapsed Friday, killing one worker and leaving two dozen others trapped, committed suicide early Sunday, China's state-run news service reported. The news service, Xinhua, identified the owner as Ma Congbo.

Ma was president of Yurong Commerce and Trade Ltd. Co. and owner of the mine in Shangdong Province, south of Bejing, the Associated Press reported.

Ma was working alongside hundreds of rescue workers when, at 2 a.m., he leaped into a well and drowned, according to the AP and Xinhua.

The cause of the collapse, which occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, remains under investigation, Xinhua reported. Four workers escaped and seven more were rescued; on Sunday, 17 workers remained trapped as emergency personnel tried to get them water, according to Xinhua.

The collapse came just days after a massive manmadelandslide in Shenzen killed one person and left 75 other people missing. After similar safety disasters, company officials are typically subject to severe punishment.
